WiL Francis was born in Seattle, Washington. During his early years wiL had an interest in music thanks to bands like Red Hot Chili Peppers [1] but only really began to take it seriously after he started to join bands at 13.

Recently in an interview with Kerrang! Magazine [2], he admitted that he had planned a massacre that he was going to commit in Seattle's University District on New Year's Eve, 1999. He claimed his means of carrying out this massacre was "a backpack full of guns". He said he was lonely and violent enough to carry it out because of the life he had lived. He went to jail and upon release decided it was time for him to turn his life around. He wrote a letter of apology to his mother for all the bad times he made her go through (Inspiration for the song Genetic Design For Dying) and took part in a 6 month rehabilitation course.

Through his teenage years some of his favorite bands included Nirvana, NOFX, Red Hot Chili Peppers, HIM, Misfits, and Bad Religion' [3] but during wiL's years dabbling with drugs he was no longer active within a band and only began re-playing guitar during his rehabilitation as a form of therapy and it developed from there.

Clean from drugs, wiL joined a band called "Youth At Risk" which occasionally supported the metalcore band Himsa. Prior to "Youth At Risk" he played in a band named "Spontaneous Combustion" in which he played guitar and sang. When wiL joined Aiden he originally played bass but took over as lead singer after the original vocalist left.

He is 5'7".
He has several tattoos including: band of fire around his arm (his first tattoo), 'Live Fast' across his fingers, a Star of David on his arm (his mum was Jewish but wiL doesn't practice any religion), an upside down pentagram on his chest, 'Love will tear us apart' on his upper chest just under his neck, the Misfits' logo (which was recently tattooed green and purple), the Victory Records bulldog behind his right arm, and a shark bomb on his neck.
He provided back-up vocals on the live version of Silverstein's song "Bleeds No More" on their 18 Candles: The Early Years album.
The song " One Love" (Conviction) was written by wiL about his friend, who he saw overdose on a bathroom floor.

My cousin came up missing in 2003, the very day before her birthday in April. People claim that someone abducted her. A white 4-door Sedan, in particular. They figure that she'd known this person, hence why she'd get in willingly...because this was out in the open in broad daylight. I picture it as her getting in, them offering an illegal drug, and luring her into their sick plan with the offer. Or possibly taking her somewhere, wih the bait (ilegal drugs) and doing what they may or may not have planned on doing...nobody knows. We may never know.
 
But what we do know for sure is that she was with someone in a vehicle. She made a phone call to her sister, stating "I got a ride, I'll call you back." Needless to say, she never got that call back. 
 
Her mom anxiously waited at home. I remember it, as I was 12 years old at he time, seeing a ton of people there at her house gathered only a few hours after the disappearance. And I remember hearing her say, distraught and confused, "There's something wrong."
 
She had the phone in hand, dialing the police, the news...but since it was all so soon, they all blew her off and said "The person has to be missing 24 hours for a report to be made."
 
I was in control of the posters. Someone created some home-made Have You Seen Me? ones and printed them from their computer. We hung them up at every open, local place near. First stop, Burger King, where Amanda worked.
 
Time flew by. Amanda's mother worried. Eventually the FBI got involved. Then news came the following year that yet another girl came up missing, same area. We then later celebrated a walk with a candlelight vigil. We brought the candles, yellow ribbons, and posters. A DJ played Eminem's Sing For the Moment along with Aaliyah's Missing You full blast. It could have been heard blocks away.
 
Then, my aunt went on the Montell Williams Show to speak to the psychic, Sylvia Brown, to only get horrible news that would tarnish her heath.
 
"You will reunite with Amanda in heaven."
 
Also, that she was raped late at night and killed at a beach.
 
My aunt soon lost tons of weight and started drinking and cleaning non-stop. Anything to occupy her mind. Then came lie detector tests. Some people failed, yet for some reason the fed's brushed it off...
 
Soon, Louwana would enroll herself in a hospital due to pains in the stomach area...and it all flashed back to me, the last times we spoke...
 
She was in a hospital bed with a security guard and nurse outside guarding her door. We came in to visit, and my mom said a few things, while I shyly stood with my wondering cousin. It was around Christmas, and I had just got a new PSP in a steel purse case. She always tried to get something out of me, I was so stand-offish...so she asked me what it was. Later she'd go in minor surgery, where they would fuck up her stomach and cause an inner-infection. So she was taken to the Cleveland Clinic, waiting all day in a waiting room praying she'd be ok. Later we'd go in. She had a humungous patch on her stomach, because it was still cut open. Her breathing was heavy and she seemed unconscious.
 
The next time we visited she was heavily sedated, but conscious. She couldn't speak, there was a tube down her throat, so when we left, I remember her waving bye mouthing "I love you."
 
They sent her to another hospital, even though she was still clearly serverely ill. Her health insurance couldn't afford the other one.
 
The last time I visited...she looked her worst...yet they claimed she was getting better. She was a stick-figure, and her skin was orange. She couldn't drink any water. She was thirsty. Se looked like she was already dead.
 
And eventually, she got better. She was walking again. She was recovering. And isn't it funny, the thing that made her ill isn't what would kill her?
 
She went into cardiac arrest. Then a coma. Her legs moved...but no one was home. I visited that night. I found it pointless, she couldn't breathe. They had her on all kinds of machines.
 
And the next night, I'll never forget. I was asked to watch the baby while everyone left. I kept clling, asking my mom when she was going to come home. But the 3rd time she called me back. And I quote...
 
"We're going home now."
 
"Good, because I want to go home."
 
Then came the silence. "Hello?" I blankly asked.
 
"Louwana's in heaven now."
 
"W-what?"
 
She repeated. I quickly hung up and cried. Thinking of the upstairs apartmnt, all of the memories shared... looking at the baby she adored... and broke down.
 
And in February that year, we took a look around her still Christmas-decorated house. It was as if time stopped...right there. And when the wake came, I looked at the pictures and then said goodbye to her lifeless body. Gone.
 
They're both gone. And I cried inside.
 
Growing up, Amanda was like my big sister. We shared a lot of memories, that are vague to me...I was so young. But at my young age, I looked up to her immensely.
